Central Television Tower is located in Beijing, China.
To go to Central Television Tower, you can take bus or subway.
By car: Take Beijing-Chengde Expressway from the city center, then turn onto the West 3rd Ring Road North and continue straight until you reach the tower.
By subway: Take Line 4 or Line 6 and get off at Tiananmen East Station, then transfer to Bus No.40 or No.64 and get off at Central Television Tower Station.
The height of Central Television Tower is 386 meters above ground level.
The location of Central Television Tower is in Haidian District, Beijing City.
Construction of the tower began in January 1987 and was completed on September 30th,1994. It officially opened to visitors on October first that year.
The tower has a total floor area of about 15 hectares and weighs over five thousand tons.
It serves as a broadcasting station for radio and television programs including CCTV-1 through CCTV-8 as well as some local channels.
It also houses an observation deck with panoramic views of the city from its three levels.
