"民声君"注意到，在社交媒体上 lately, many netizens who are in Beijing have been sharing their concerns about a group of people who seem to be organizing parties at a popular tourist spot called "鬼笑石" in the West Mountain. The videos circulating online show young people gathering and having fun without wearing masks properly, which has sparked widespread concern among the public. Many have criticized these individuals for disregarding safety protocols.
In response to this situation, the Beijing West Mountain National Forest Park has decided to close the "鬼笑石" area starting from May 16th, as per the requirements of local epidemic prevention and control work. This measure aims to ensure the health and safety of visitors while minimizing risks associated with large gatherings.
The closed "鬼笑石" is a notable stone located in the southeastern part of Ghostly Gaze Hill. It is said that when wind blows through it, it produces an eerie sound similar to howling or crying ghosts, hence its name.
The Beijing West Mountain National Forest Park covers an area of 5970 hectares across three districts: Haidian, Shijingshan and Mentougou. With elevations ranging from 300-400 meters above sea level and a forest coverage rate of 98.5%, it primarily features summer green broad-leaved forests as its main attraction sites include Capital Green Cultural Monument (Baocheng Scenic Area) and Changhua Scenic Area.
