一、长城
长城是中国最著名的古迹之一, Stretching over 13,000 miles (21,000 km) from the eastern coast to the western frontier, it is a testament to China's rich history and its people's ingenuity in engineering. Built during different dynasties over many centuries, the Great Wall is made up of stone walls, rammed earth walls, brick walls and other materials. The most famous sections are Badaling and Mutianyu near Beijing.
二、大运河
The Grand Canal is another impressive feat of ancient Chinese engineering. It stretches over 1,100 miles (1,800 km) from Beijing to Zhejiang Province in Eastern China. Construction began as early as the 5th century BC but was completed much later with significant extensions in the Song Dynasty (960-1279 AD). The canal played a vital role in trade and communication between northern and southern regions.
三、故宫博物院(紫禁城)
Located in Beijing's heart lies one of China's most iconic landmarks - the Forbidden City or Palace Museum. This sprawling complex served as both palace for emperors and political center for Ming dynasty rulers until their fall in 1912 AD. With more than 980 buildings covering an area of about seven million square feet (650 acres), it houses thousands of artworks including paintings by renowned artists like Qi Baishi.
四、西安大雁塔和小雁塔
Built during Tang Dynasty around 648 AD on behalf of Emperor Gaozong for his beloved wife Empress Wu Zetian who had become Buddhist nun named Princess Xuezheng after her death , Big Wild Goose Pagoda symbolizes wisdom while Little Wild Goose Pagoda represents simplicity . These two magnificent structures stand out among countless architectural wonders along Silk Road which connected East Asia with Central Asia.
五、武当山
Located at Hubei province , Wudang Mountain has been considered sacred since Han Dynasty due to Taoist legends that attribute immortal gods' residences there . Famous martial arts movie Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon showcased this mountain 's stunning scenery showcasing peaks covered with lush vegetation , temples hidden within misty valleys where monks meditate seeking enlightenment .
六、丽江古城
Lijiang Ancient Town is nestled amidst towering mountains at Yunnan Province bordering Tibet Autonomous Region . Established during Naxi ethnic minority people 's reign since Song Dynasty till today , Lijiang maintains its unique charm through cobblestone streets lined with traditional architecture such as wooden bridges crossing canals filled water lilies creating tranquil atmosphere where locals live alongside tourists enjoying cultural experiences together .
七、大佛寺(千佛洞)
Datong Yungang Grottoes are located near Datong city Shanxi Province known for housing hundreds carved statues depicting various Buddha forms including Avalokiteshvara Bodhisattva & Maitreya Bodhisattva whose influence stretched across Asia via Silk Road routes built between late fourth century BC & early fifth century AD by Northern Wei emperor Shihzhuangdi following Buddhism spread into north china region after Three Kingdom Period end .
