The Monkey King, also known as Sun Wukong, is one of the most iconic characters in Chinese literature. His adventures are immortalized in the classic novel "Journey to the West," which has been adapted into countless forms of media. One of these adaptations is through images, which bring this fantastical world to life.
The Birth of a Hero
In the beginning of "Journey to the West," we see a powerful monkey born from a stone on Flower Fruit Mountain. This image represents not only his incredible strength but also his innocence and curiosity about the world beyond his mountain home.
